Equine Clinicians Lisa Wysocky and Sam Powell Sign with Mike Meade for Booking Representation
Source: White Horse Enterprises
Nashville, TN
March 4, 2008

Nationally known equine clinicians Lisa Wysocky and Sam Powell have recently signed with Mike Meade for booking representation. Meade will represent the two individually, and also for The Power of a Whisper Lecture Series, which the two will co-headline, often with surprise guests.

Wysocky is an award-winning author of several books and DVDs, including My Horse, My Partner; Teamwork on the Ground. She is a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped) registered instructor and was recently named by ARIA (American Riding Instructor's Association) as one of the Top 50 riding instructors in the nation. A well-known competitor in the show ring, Wysocky currently trains horses for use in therapeutic riding programs and consults nationwide with therapeutic riding programs on their horse herds. She is also a motivational speaker who teaches corporate and association audiences about inner success.

Sam Powell's clients have included country superstars Reba McEntire and Tanya Tucker, the Nashville Police Department, and universities and stables throughout America. His background is based in readings in Zen and countless days spent observing herds in the wild. By age sixteen Sam was riding bulls and traveling far from home, to Cheyenne's Frontier Days and the Calgary Stampede. He later left the rodeo world for steadier employment on ranches, culminating in a 22-year run as equine manager at the famous Mullendore Cross Bell Ranch in Oklahoma. He currently trains out of his ranch in Shelbyville, Tennessee.

Mike Meade has worked with such notable country acts as the Dixie Chicks, Lee Ann Womack, Tracy Lawrence, Clay Walker, Lorrie Morgan, Jeff Foxworthy, and Miranda Lambert, among others. He is a member of the Academy of Country Music, the Country Music Association, the International Entertainment Buyers Association, and the International Association of Fairs and Expos. Sponsorships he has secured include Carhartt, Sparkle Paper towel (Georgia Pacific), Ariat Boots, Wrangler, Purina Mills, Cracker Barrel, Professional Choice (horse equipment), and Shop at Home. Mike has also worked in the entertainment industry for Buddy Lee Attractions (Agent), Rust Records (VP Marketing), New Frontier Touring (Agent), Tag Management/ Rocky Comfort Records (Manager/ VP of Marketing).

The Power of a Whisper tour features classroom lectures and arena demonstrations by Wysocky, Powell and (often) a special guest. The tour was developed to address topics and discussions that are difficult to facilitate in a large arena setting, and are aided by special power point presentations. Topics such as horse thought and behavior, equine behavior and movement, ground training, equine language, and desensitization take a personalized approach, giving tour attendees plenty of time for learning and Q&A.
